Think about the people you most admire. What characteristics do you notice the most about them? Do you pay more attention to their physical appearance, or has their actual character had the most influence on you? So often this world gets so caught up in the physical elements, the material aspects of daily living, and the monetary comparisons. The value of a person…the value of their life…and the value of your life…has nothing to do with the physical, material, monetary things that are focused on. Value is held in what is held close to the heart. Value is characterized by an everlasting, never-ending, continuously growing spirit. Our spirit is developed over time, as we grow closer to a relationship with God. The more you focus your life on living for God…filling yourself with His love, guidance, and peace…the more people will be drawn to you. This magnetic aspect is the same aspect that attracts you to the people that are the most valuable to you. Live a life that develops your spirit and love will overflow in your life.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 1 CORINTHIANS 13:4-7
May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you. May He strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all His holy ones. 1 THESSALONIANS 3:12-13
God is with us.
