What we DO have.

126491-Focus-On-The-Good

Have you ever had something taken away from you? Did you realize the value of what was taken…until it was gone? We are so used to being complacent with the way our lives are going, that we neglect to recognize the blessings until they are not there anymore. Often times we complain about things like our job, our cantankerous vehicle, our ‘not so attentive’ partner, or our ‘imperfect’ body. What happens when we suddenly face company lay offs, or the vehicle completely breaks down, or your partner is suddenly gone…or you face a diagnosis of cancer or any other major health issue? Our perspective takes a giant turn, and we instantly realize that what we thought were issues before…are nothing in comparison. The next reaction that might happen, is the terrible mistake of blaming God for the difficulties. God does not ‘do’ things to punish us. Life is life, and because we are human, things will happen. God makes the tough times manageable, and the seemingly impossible times, possible. Life has times when we are faced with hardships. This is just human nature, and we must learn to embrace the blessings…no matter what we are facing. Determine to have a perspective of positive thinking, in every aspect of your life. When we see the positive in all things, we receive the ability to persevere and overcome. God gives us the ability to have the eyes of Jesus, when we seek Him for help in all we face. As you begin this day, thank God for all that you DO have in your life. Then, ask Jesus to walk you through this day…with His eyes…and you will be amazed at what you are blessed with.

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. COLOSSIANS 2:6-7

Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him. JAMES 1:12

God is with us.
