Freedom

freedom

Oh, how this world hurts. There is pain and heartache everywhere. The media highlights all the tragic, horrific, astounding, and mind-boggling negative things…happening all around us. We are bombarded with all the sin that surrounds us. We can look out at the crowd and see the sadness and hurt in other people’s eyes. The reality is…we can look in the mirror and see sadness in our own eyes. This world hurts. This world is hard to live in. This world is a challenge to us every single day. So, given all this reality we face each day…how are we going to handle it? We can crumble at the world, and all it’s negative influences, or we can stand up and embrace the good in this world. We don’t have to hurt alone. In fact, we can overcome those hurts, and cast off the sadness. We can overcome the evil and sin that can easily ensnare us. We can choose to receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior…and begin allowing the love of Jesus to live within us. We can begin seeking God…our Father…to help us climb out of the pit. We can honestly surrender our burdens and our deepest secrets to God. God forgives. God heals. God helps, and God does not hold grudges. God is the beginning of freedom. The deliverer. The answer to our every need. We are the one’s who can make this world a better place. We are the one’s who can choose to allow God to help. It is up to us to allow God in. Don’t let the world be the doorkeeper to your heart and your life. Make the choice today…to allow Jesus to guard your heart…and God to guide your life.

Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked. For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does He withhold from those whose walk is blameless. PSALM 84:10-11

When Jesus spoke again to the people, He said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” JOHN 8:12

God is with us.
