Growth

growth

Sometimes we cannot figure out why things happen to us. We may feel like we are doing all we can do to live the right way, but a major event happens that makes us question things. These major events can be painful to press through and difficult to understand. But think back to the past, and reflect on what you have already been through in your life. Some reflections will be good…some will be not so good. Either way, whatever your life was like then, it has developed you into a different person today. It is how we handle those major events that we face in life that make us grow. Growth comes in all different shapes and forms. Even if you were on the wrong track in the past, look at where you are today. If you aren’t where you want to be today…then take a look up. Honestly desire to make a change and ask God to help you. Then trust in God…even when it seems difficult. Remember, hindering the consequences in our life, hinders the healing, which in turn hinders our growth. Trust God. Do not doubt. Soon you will look back and see the healing…and recognize your growth.

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are – yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. HEBREWS 4:15-16

My brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of any kind, consider it nothing but joy, because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance; and let endurance have its full effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking in nothing. If any of you is lacking in wisdom, ask God, who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and it will be given you. But ask in faith, never doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind; for the doubter, being double-minded and unstable in every way, must not expect to receive anything from the Lord. JAMES 1:2-8

God is with us.
