Look for the joy.

finding-joy-in-the-journey

There is joy in everything. Even when we feel like there is nothing but heartache engulfing us…there is joy if you look for it. Our perspective and the way we gear our minds as we press through life…can help our emotional response. We will face things that seem unbearable and impossible to press through. If we determine to fix our eyes on Jesus and dig into our faith…we will be able to grab hold of the hope God has promised us. Hope is our faith in action. When we have hope…we have the ability to know there is an end to our struggle…and that there is joy in the midst of it. As you face this day take a look around you. Look for things that are obvious blessings and find the joy in them. If you are able to walk…find the joy in that ability to walk around; observing the beauty that God has created around us. There is joy in our vision…and in our friendships. There is joy in the doctors offices…because there is hope in the healing within that treatment. There is joy in your job…because of the hands and feet you have in which you can work with. Create joy…by making a decision to find the joy in anything and everything you face. Decide. Today. Jesus embraced the joy that He knew would come to us…when He endured the cross. Praise God for that blessing and gift we have freely been given. Joy comes to those who seek it…and God has given us so much to be joyful for!

Jesus said: “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commands and remain in His love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.” JOHN 15:9-11

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. HEBREWS 12:2-3

God is with us.
