Do you find yourself tensed up, stressed out, and overwhelmed many times throughout your day? Many of us do this on a daily basis. Do you realize that much of this is self-inflicted? Jesus told us specifically…NOT to worry. So why do we do it anyway? It takes recognizing our own responsibility for the stress…to begin making a change towards a more peaceful day. Evaluate what you are stressing about. Is it really that important…or is there an underlying issue that you really need to focus on. We tend to redirect our real issue…onto other people or things. Make a conscious decision to recognize your own reactions to life. Every time you begin to stress…say a prayer. Every time you become agitated…say a prayer. Every time you simply don’t know how to do it all…say a prayer. In every prayer…surrender these issues to God. Ask God to help you…and then trust Him to do so. Release your worries to the One who has the power and control to provide…and help you create a more peace filled life.
We wait in hope for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. In Him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in His Holy Name. May your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put out hope in you. PSALM 33:20-22
Jesus said: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?” MATTHEW 6:25-27
God is with us.
