What in the world?

“What in the world?!” How many times have we heard this quote in our lifetime? It is a quote that expresses our reaction to a shock about something. Most of the time we don’t take it literally…we are simply voicing our emotions out loud. Each day we are faced with continuous ‘busy-ness’…and we balance and press through each obstacle we are faced with. We have the option to do all of this on our own, or seek God each day…asking for His help. Trying to face each day by ourselves can be a daunting task. Sadly, this is what so much of the world is trying to do. ‘The world’…social media…television and advertisements…are sending out the message of “self”. This message of self pleasure, pushed out by the wrong social media sources, is the work of the devil. As we face our life each day, we must recognize the subtle sins that are placed in front of us constantly. Don’t fall into that trap of accepting something just because ‘the world’ is accepting it. Stop and say to yourself…’what in the world?!’ Step back and analyze your actions and reactions to things. The only way we can be properly prepared to recognize the right from the wrong…is if we build up our faith. Don’t let the world take over your heart. Allow Jesus to fill your heart with His love and guidance. When we make a commitment to seek God each morning…and surrender our lives to Jesus…we are putting on our armor to face this world. Fill your life with peace, balance, and happiness…by filling your life with God.

Do not conform any longer to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – His good, pleasing and perfect will. ROMANS 12:2

Be very careful, then, how you live – not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. EPHESIANS 4:15-17

God is with us.
