Time to ask.

quiet-prayer

How much of our lives do we attempt to control or change on our own? Why do we think we have the power to do it all by ourselves? God is our creator. God is the “I am”.  God gave us Jesus Christ as a direct link to Him. Jesus is our mediator, who opens the way for us to come to the Father with confidence for all areas of need in our lives. The most powerful thing we can do is to release all that overburdened feeling to God. When you don’t feel like you are getting anywhere with your attempts to fix or change a situation…it is because you are trying to do it all by yourself. It is time to ask Jesus for help…and to ask Him to guide you. Release. Pull over your car…park it in a safe spot…and pray. Go into a private area…and pray. Drop to your knees beside your bed…and pray. So often we don’t ‘feel’ like praying, but it is at these times we must force ourselves to do so. It will be the beginning of the change you are so desperately striving for. Release it to God and God will show you the way. Soon God will send people that will begin to help you in ways you never thought possible!

He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion – to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. ISAIAH 61:1-3

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are – yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. HEBREWS 4:15-16

God is with us.
