Focus on the blessings.

taking_things_for_granted

Have you ever become so accustomed to something, that you did not realize it’s importance in your life…until it was gone? This can be a raw reality for all of us. At some point in your life you have floated along, assuming things would always be as they are. People, jobs, finances, health, or daily simple things, can suddenly be altered. Assuming is typical, but it can leave you feeling lost when you realize the situation has changed. Don’t take things for granted. Recognize the people in your lives, and the value they bring to you. Thank your boss for the job you have. Take care of your body, mind and soul. Be grateful for the spiritual, emotional, and physical support systems that help you press through each day. God has given you so many gifts to assist you through this life. When we begin to focus on the blessings of our everyday routine, we begin to be filled with joy and peace. Even in the worst of circumstances, there is something positive to hold onto. Gratitude for what we are given, is a key factor in our attitude. Praise God from whom all blessings flow. God desires for us to be happy, and to find pleasure in life’s daily blessings. Embrace your life, and know that in recognizing the blessings, you will find true peace.

He will love you and bless you and increase your numbers. He will bless the fruit of your womb, the crops of your land – your grain, new wine and oil – the calves of your herds and lambs of your flocks in the land that He swore to your forefathers to give you. DEUTERONOMY 7:13

Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. JAMES 1:12

God is with us.
