Change

Change is hard. Change makes us uncomfortable. Change means we must become accustomed to a new routine. It can take a while to adjust to the change that is happening in your life. This prolonged time of transition can cause doubt, anxiety, and sometimes sadness. Even if you have been excited about the changes that are happening; there is an adjustment period that causes different emotions to rise up. Last week, I assisted my 22 year old daughter, with a move to Washington State. She has been given an opportunity to continue her studies at a wonderful University. This is a very big change for all of us. She must adjust to life a great distance from family; and I must adjust to her being further than a few hours drive away. My daughter has a solid and complete foundation of trust in the Lord. She knows no-one in Washington. She will meet people, develop new friendships; and trust that God will guide her steps. I have a solid trust that God is holding her in the palm of His Hand. This change requires complete trust for both of us. The ability to know, without a shadow of a doubt, that Jesus will carry her and guide her…is one of the most precious gifts we can hold on to. As we all face changes in our lives, we must hold on to the promises that God has given us. God is with us. Always. God never leaves us, and He is our provider and our life guide. Trust is the one thing we must focus on as we seek God for His way in our lives. Pray for God to guide your heart, and you can be assured that the changes you must go through, will be the pathway to the life God desires for you.

Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The Lord is faithful to all His promises and loving toward all He has made. PSALM 145:13

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path. PROVERBS 3:5-6

Jesus says: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.” JOHN 14:1

God is with us.
