Always There

god-is-with-you

Today is a new day. Today is a beginning. Today is fresh…and an opportunity to do with it as you wish. For some people, facing a new day can be overwhelming. Sometimes our lives are so difficult to face, that we simply have no idea how to face it. We are lost…hurt…alone…and the pain of those emotions have a tight grip on our minds. I have been there. Most of us have had some level of exasperation in our lives. It is a very hard place to be. Sometimes the only thing you have to hold onto, is the “thought” of God being somewhere out there. When we don’t “feel” the presence of God…especially at times of difficulty and depression…we have a sense of abandonment. We wonder how to face a new day. We wonder how to trust in God if we don’t see signs or evidence of Him helping us out. These emotions cannot be overlooked, because they are real human emotions.  Jesus cried out, “My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?” MATTHEW 27:46 Forsaken means to give up or leave someone or something entirely. Jesus spoke these words upon the cross…realizing that His death and momentary separation from God…was so that He could take those sins from us…so that we would NEVER be separated from God.  Jesus bore our sin. Jesus died on the cross…forsaken…so that we might NEVER be forsaken. Jesus was resurrected and lives within us today…having given us the gift of eternal life and hope. God is with us, every single day. God is there. He does not leave us. It is a promise that we can hold onto forever. Take this day and make it a new beginning. Drop to your knees in prayer. Speak to God….even when you don’t feel His presence. Tell God how you feel. No matter what you are going through in your life…you are valuable and precious to God. Cry out to your Father in Heaven…because Your Father is waiting to help you.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you, He will never leave you nor forsake you. DEUTERONOMY 31:6

If the Lord delights in a man’s way, He makes his steps firm; though he stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with His hand. PSALM 37:23-24

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” HEBREWS 13:5-6

God is with us.
