Every. Single. Day. We have been given the opportunity to seek God in prayer; every single day. Why is that so hard for some people? Why do we tend to think that some of the issues we are facing are not important enough to seek God for help? Why do so many people think of God as someone who only takes care of big issues? Why do so many think that God works that way? I find it so heartbreaking, when I realize how many people actually think their issues are not important enough for God. I have actually been told the words, “that’s not something important enough to pray to God about”. God is God of all. He knows every single thought we have; emotion we feel; and struggle we face. There is no hierarchy of importance when it comes to prayer. God desires to hear from each one of us. Jesus tells us to pray to our Father in Heaven, about everything. There is nothing wrong with praying to God about our daily, practical needs. The Bible reveals that God is a loving parent who delights in giving His children what they need. Like a good parent, though, God will not grant requests that violate our best interests. As we seek God in prayer, we must also seek His will in our lives. Take time every day, to seek your Father for wisdom and guidance. God loves you and will help you. Trust that He hears you, and believe that your issues are just as important to God as anyone else’s. Pray and seek the One who can help you. Every. Single. Day.
Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to Him, for God is our refuge. PSALM 62:8
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us – whatever we ask – we know that we have what we asked of Him. 1 JOHN 5:14-15
God is with us.
