Commitment

commitment-1

Have you ever been asked simple questions…that feel very deep when you have to think about it? For instance…“what is your passion in life?” or “where do you wish to be in 5 or 10 years?…”what are your future goals?” or “what is your dream job?” These questions are simple when asked…but make us really stop and think about things in our own lives. Often times we get so caught up in the ‘today’ and in the responsibilities we have…that we lose track of our own thoughts and perspectives. Ask yourself some simple questions today. Begin with this one. “Am I living my life to glorify God…or to glorify myself?” Yes, that is a serious and deep question…but it is the foundation for our lives. As we strive to live a happy and healthy life…we must begin with placing God first. When we surrender our lives to Jesus…we are building our lives on a solid foundation. From this foundation…we are able to see things with a more clear perspective. The more we place our trust in God…and glorify Him….the less and less confusion we have from the world. As we begin eliminating that confusion…we notice the ability to make clearer decisions and have much more knowledge about where we are headed in our lives. Pray to God…asking Him to open your heart and eyes to His way. Then make a commitment to focus on the cross…and allow Jesus to help you see the way to your future…filled with all you ever hoped for.

Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed. PROVERBS 16:3

Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives tales; rather, train yourself to be godly. For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. 1 TIMOTHY 4:7-8

God is with you.
