Celebrate!

victory

How often do you celebrate? Do you wait for specific holidays or select anniversaries to celebrate the blessings in your life? Why do we ignore some of the most important things we should be celebrating? Most of us have had victory after victory in our daily lives. These are personal victories; things we have overcome, accomplished, or pressed through when we thought it wasn’t possible. We deserve to acknowledge these extremely important times of celebration. I recently wrote a list of the things in my past that were extreme difficulties in had faced. As I reviewed the list in written form, it became even more visible to see the glory in those adversities. Each item on my list is a journey. Despite the difficulty and hardship…I have been victorious in rising up and overcoming those obstacles. God has carried me through things that seemed impossible to face or overcome. God has carried you through many things in your lives. Look back at those victories and celebrate them. Don’t wait for a holiday or a specific excuse to celebrate the most important victories in your life. Make a special dinner. Tell someone your testimony. Write the date of joy in your calendar…and never forget how GREAT our God is…and how Jesus has held your hand through what seemed impossible.

May He give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed. We will shout for joy when you are victorious and will lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the Lord grant all your requests. PSALM 20:4-5

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 1 JOHN 4:4

God is with us.
