What does it mean to have faith? So many times people lose hold of the actual concept of faith. We become so accustomed to physical reinforcements of this world, that we rely upon the concept of “action and result”…what we can actually see. Faith isn’t based on what can actually be seen. Faith has to do with the spiritual realm. Faith is a deep seeded root of trust in God…who we cannot see…but who we believe. God’s Word is our guide and resource to live by. We must believe in what His Word says, and trust without a doubt, that what He says will be so. If we can step past the physical…and trust in the spiritual…we will learn what true faith is. Once you allow yourself to grab hold of the concept of faith…and put it into action…God will begin showing you His promises in your life.
The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. And He is not served by human hands, as if He needed anything, because He Himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. From one man He made every nation of men, that they should inhibit the whole earth; and He determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek Him and perhaps reach out for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us. For in Him we live and move and have our being. As some of your own poets have said, ‘we are His offspring.’ ACTS 17:24-28
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. HEBREWS 11:1-3
God is with us.
