Held in the heart.

What do you have held deep within your heart? Have you made a point to focus on building a positive, kind, loving, and helpful spirit? This world is challenging…and we are faced with difficulties that can stir up many emotions. It is normal to have feelings about certain things that we face. The important thing is that we are careful to express those feelings and emotions…and have self control in doing so. We need to ask God to help us overcome any negative that we might be holding onto. God helps us develop our character…as long as we are willing to allow Him to mold us and help us to develop a heart that shines for Jesus. Be careful who you associate with, and how you allow other influences to effect you. Seek God in all areas of your life, and He will help you process through anything, which will continue to help you build good character. Our speech and our actions are an example of what is held within our heart.

“For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”  MATTHEW 12:34-37
