Don’t forget to ask.

How often do we catch ourselves speaking to others about our troubles? We become burdened with our difficulties, and we turn to others for support or encouragement. We need help. We need direction. We need to know we are not alone. It is nice to have people who you can turn to. It is vital to our lives to have good, sound, wisdom from others to help us process our decisions. But – how much are we relying upon other people to help us process through our troubles? How much are we depending on the advise of someone else, versus seeking God for His direction? As humans, we have a tendency to talk to people more than we talk to God. Jesus has clearly given us wisdom on this subject. We have been told to seek God is all things. We are also told to ask…without doubt. Prayer is vital to all circumstances in our lives. However big or small the issue is…God wants to hear from us. Seeking God’s direction lays a foundation for the future. When we trust God to show us the way…and have patience to wait on His timing…we can be assured of our decisions. How many times have you made decisions on your own…and quickly regretted what you had done? We have all been there. God is always with us. We just have to allow Him to take control, by asking Him to be the leader of our lives.

Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” MATTHEW 21:21-22

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him. HEBREWS 11:6

God is with us.
