Be a witness.

Are you willing to be honest and open, exposing your life experiences, so that you may be a witness to someone else? Are you ready to admit your weaknesses and share your past mistakes? Opening yourself up to vulnerability is not easy. Most of the time we all wear our shields and masks on a daily basis. We do a good job of covering up the past mistakes, and hiding our current weaknesses. When we begin allowing ourselves to share our life journey…and the true realities of what we have walked through…we become raw and real. This is hard. This means we are susceptible to judgment and attacks from people who may not understand your purpose. Jesus went through this on a daily basis. Jesus endured the ridicule, and maliciousness of the people who had hardened hearts. But Jesus loved them anyway. Jesus loves us despite our human faults and tendencies. We are called to be the example of Jesus in this world. This does not mean we put on a false act of righteousness. This means we are honest, real and open. This is a journey we must all slowly come to. As we draw closer to God…we will begin understanding the meaning of living as an example. It has taken me years to develop the courage to speak about my past and my life journey. God has guided me along, and held me up when people have tried to break me down. It takes courage and commitment to share the truth. But in the end…someone will find strength to face the day…because of your testimony. I pray one day, we will all come to a place of understanding. Knowing that Jesus lives in each one of us…and our willingness to be vulnerable and honest…will mean salvation for someone else in this world.

Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever. DANIEL 12:3

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 1 PETER 2:9

God is with us.
