Purposeful recognition.

Beauty surrounds us in every way. Often times we don’t recognize how amazing and abundant our blessings are. We take things for granted, ignoring what is right in front of us. We forget how to see the beauty and the blessings, because we focus too much on the negatives. We wake up with our minds whirling, already formulating schedules, solutions to issues, or facing serious health, relationship, or financial hardships. We can’t see through the fog of the negatives within those hardships…because we are only focusing on them, instead of the blessings surrounding them. Think about it. It takes effort to look past the pain, hardship, or difficult emotions…and see the glory revealed within it. How do we see beauty in the middle of cancer? How do we claim peace when we don’t how we will pay the next bill? How are we expected to see the blessings when we are overwhelmed and in a state of despair? It takes purposeful recognition to see past what is consuming your mind. There is beauty in every situation…no matter how dark it may seem. The light of Jesus shines brighter than any darkness. Remember, every day holds a blessing. God is with you in all circumstances. Every day you wake up, your eyes, your ears, and your hands and feet…are able to take you through that day. Many people struggle with these gifts we often take for granted. The family that surrounds you, or the friends that support you…are irreplaceable gifts. The roof over your head, the food you are able to eat…and the water you drink…are a blessing. The sun in the sky, the moonlight at night, the birds singing their song…the freedom we have to enjoy them…are gifts. As we face this day, let us purposefully recognize the beauty within this day. Your day will become brighter, and you will find joy awaits your heart.

The Lord gives strength to His people; the Lord blesses His people with peace. PSALM 29:11

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. ROMANS 15:13

God is with us.
