Every one of us has some sort of struggle in our walk. None of us are without sin. Sometimes people try to pretend like they have no sin in their life…but we are human…and we absolutely cannot be perfect. The only perfect one is Jesus. We must be careful not to think too highly of our self. Even the most Biblical scholar…devout…and dedicated person…has sin. There is some element of responsibility that we must admit. We all have those inner struggles…that grudge or bitterness toward someone, or that thought that flashed through your mind when someone cut you off in the road. Think about it…realistically…there is something within each day, that we do, think, or say…that isn’t perfect. Admit it, even laugh about it…and then repent. All God wants is for us to come to Him with honesty and ask for forgiveness. He has given us a way to freedom, through His Son Jesus Christ.
When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. PROVERBS 11:2
God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with Him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar and His Word has no place in our lives. 1 JOHN 1:5-10
God is with us.
