Building each other up.

In a world of increasing turbulence, it can be difficult to stay positive. We are surrounded by social media, which has become the new form of communication. Texting, email, twitter, and Face book have become normal uses of information between people. The personal, one-on-one interaction with people has become limited. This has created a void in certain emotional and spiritual areas of our lives. If not careful…there can be a tendency to fill that void with other things…which can include interacting with more and more people via the social media network. This can lead to an overload of different influences, that you would normally not be subjected to. Be very careful with how you balance your communication with people. Eliminate those who will bring your own character down, and focus on those who are helpful in building you up. Choose to minimize electronic interaction, and begin to build real relationships with people who are striving to live their lives in line with God’s will. Spend more time focusing on God…and relying upon Jesus…and you will be drawn to the people that you know have the same direction…righteous living.

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. 1 THESSALONIANS 5:11

Test everything. Hold on to the good. Avoid every kind of evil. 1 THESSALONIANS 5:21

Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers. 1 TIMOTHY 4:16

God is with us.
