Frustrated? Exhausted? Out of control? Unfortunately, those words sound entirely too familiar to most people in this world today. We tend to stay in this realm of chaos, and have come to accept it as almost normal. This is not a good place to be. We must take control of who and what is controlling our lives. The first question we have to ask, is: “Who is guiding your life?” Is the world your greatest influence? Do you wake up each day and prepare to perform at your maximum, in hopes that someone will take notice and promote you to some degree? It doesn’t have to be a job that motivates you to do this…sometimes we do this subconsciously in our own home. Are you striving to be perfect…precise…the best…the most…or the ‘everything’ in your life? Stop. We are human. We are not in control, unless we give our control…our heart…our life…to the one who created the universe. God is God…and we are not. We must begin recognizing the mistakes we are making by trying to the mastermind of our own lives. Yes, God has given us free will, and an amazing mind to use. He wants us to live our lives to the fullest…with joy, peace and diligence. God did this so that we could make the choice to revere Him, and seek Him in all we do. God did not create us…so we would be forced to worship Him. God allows us to come to know Him in a personal, loving way. God is there for us in every aspect of our lives. We have the opportunity to be rid of the frustration, exhaustion and constant rat race of attempted control. Seek Jesus to help you walk through each day. Ask God to take control of your habits…and begin searching the scripture for balance and wisdom. We are so blessed with all the answers to peace and hope in our lives. We just have to make the effort to relinquish our self…and allow God to step in.
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you. PSALM 32:8
Since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God. 2 CORINTHIANS 7:1
God is with us.
