Your body is a temple. God created each one of us with a unique and complex body. He designed us to be self motivated and capable of doing many amazing physical things. Do you recognize the gift of your physical ability each day? Do you assure your health by getting the appropriate amount of rest? Are you careful with what and how much you intake? Do you over-extend yourself…creating unnecessary stress? Take into consideration the importance of your physical well being. Balance yourself each day. Honor your body by taking care of yourself physically. Physical health leads to better mental health. The key to balancing it all…is the spiritual strength we gain by placing God first, and praying to God to help us with everything.
My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to a man’s whole body. Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. PROVERBS 4:20-23
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – His good, pleasing and perfect will. ROMANS 12:1-2
