Discipline. Many times when we hear this word…we automatically associate it with rigorous routine, punishment, or dread. Discipline is something that is good for us…and actually works in our favor. If we are willing to discipline ourselves or be disciplined by our situation…we are inevitably becoming a better person. Look at the positive outcomes that are derived from pressing through the hard things. Weight loss is a result from a disciplined diet and work out routine. Financial gain is a result from hard work and dedication to a job well done. Peace, contentment, and blessings…are a result of spiritual discipline. Prioritizing some time to pray and read the Bible…prepares us for anything and everything we will ever face in life. There is no better preparation or discipline than this. Whatever goals you set…will be built on a solid foundation…when you implement spiritual discipline first. Set your mind on accepting the challenge of discipline. The outcome will develop an even better you.
The man of integrity walks securely, but he who takes crooked paths will be found out. PROVERBS 10:9
No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Latter on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. HEBREWS 12:11
God is with us.
