Your beautiful reflection.

Take a few moments to look in the mirror today. Spend some quiet time reflecting on what you see today. Do not look at the physical reflection…look deep into your own eyes…and notice how amazing you are. So often we get caught up in the daily rush…only looking at ourselves to see the physical reflection that we prepare the world to see. How often do we take the time to reflect on our growth…our strength…our inner beauty that shines so vibrantly? Every single one of us has had to face an overwhelming, seemingly impossible situation in our past. The experiences we have been through in our lives, mold us into who we are today. We can either develop wisdom and integrity from them…or we can hide from them and mask them…pretending they did not happen. Either way, those experiences have shaped your life. You were forced to grow…forced to be an over comer…and eventually rose up and conquered the battle. It’s time to look at yourself in the mirror and acknowledge exactly how amazing you are. Don’t stuff the experience in your back pocket and act like you didn’t go through it. Look at it, analyze it, and commend yourself for it. Even if no one ever knows the details of what you have overcome…you do. Praise yourself, for God has done a mighty work in you. Praise God for carrying you through it. As we open up our eyes to our own triumphs, we see the Glory of God’s work revealed. Recognize His Hand in what you have been able to achieve, and know that no matter what you face in the future…God’s Hand will be on you…guiding you and carrying you through.

Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him. JAMES 1:12

So do not throw away your confidence, it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised. HEBREWS 10:35-36

God is with us.

  1. I really needed to hear this today. Thank for sharing your knowledge through your experience. Layla your writing is so inspiration to me and many others. I understand God has held my hand threw all my life experiences and never abandoned me. His strength has carried me threw all the challenges in life. As long as I’m faithful to his word and obiedent he will guide me and give me the wisdom I need. I must remember he always has a plan and purpose for our life. I was feeling sad today but without suffering and pain we would never understand true happiness and peace which only comes from my relationship with Jesus Christ. I place my hope in him and his grace is sufficient. I will try standing in the mirror and really looking through my eyes because I know I’m a strong independent woman with many great qualities. God not done working on me however I’m a work in progress and keep growing more each day. I am a Surviors and so are u and many others. Every experience I go through is a stepping stone to prepare for my next challenge. Thank you Layla and may God bless you as you share your gift of writing to help others
