Do Not Doubt

DO NOT DOUBT. Most of us read those words and ignore them, or say “yeah, right” inside our head. Doubt is an ugly word. Doubt is lack of trust…uncertainty…hesitating to believe. Doubt is parallel to fear. Doubt roars it’s ugly head and makes us unstable in whatever we are facing. Why do we doubt? We are human…and we have been hurt. We use doubt as an invisible shield, to supposedly protect us from whatever we are doubting. It is normal to have precautions towards people…towards change…or major decisions in life. However, when we doubt the truth of God, and the realistic promises He has given us…then we are hindering our future. The first step to real hope is to stop doubting that God can and will make your life better than you can ever imagine. Stop doubting that God is that big…and recognize that God is THAT AWESOME! God created us, He created this world, and He gave you free will to make whatever choices you want to make. God does not force Himself upon us, nor does He try to manipulate or control us. God loves us so much that He allows you freedom to choose whatever you desire in your life. If you doubt that freedom and love…then you are doubting the existence of God. God is real. God is love. God is hope. God is who can help you. Stop doubting, and recognize that the Almighty God is capable of turning your life into something amazing. Believe and you will receive. Begin trusting God…even if you don’t get instant results. Give God time to move those mountains of situations. He wants the very best for you, and if you are willing to stop doubting His greatness…you will begin seeing God’s power at work in your life.

Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you. PSALM 9:10

“Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in Heaven may forgive you your sins.” MARK 11:22-25

God is with us.
